Lindell Motors donates $3600 for Print-a-thon
After a successful Memorial day weekend of fingerprinting children, Lindell Motors donated $3600 to Child Protection Education of America(CPEA), a nonprofit missing children organization based in Tampa.
CPEA set up at Lindell Motors, 3900
W. Kennedy Blvd., to fingerprint children and passed out safety literature
during the three-day event. The dealership offered a 2003 Honda Odyssey to the
charity at cost and purchased the colorful wrap for the van from Color
Reflections, an area graphics company.
Lindell had also offered to donate $50 a car sold during the weekend. It sold 72 cars that Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
During the ID ME NOW fingerprinting event, CPEA used state-of-the-art digital technology that provided parents with a high-stock card containing a child’s digital photograph, all ten fingerprints, and simple DNA collection instructions. The card is part of a packet that contains safety brochures and a checklist of other important information that parents should keep on hand in case they ever need it.
Additional sponsors for the National Missing Children Day Print-a-Thon included Buy Owner, which donated $1 for every child fingerprinted.
CPEA is a national nonprofit missing children organization based in Tampa. The organization assists parents and law enforcement officers involved with missing children cases by offering free photograph distribution. The charity also offers safety education events, including fingerprinting using the ID ME NOW fingerprinting program.
CPEA is the second largest missing children organization in terms of the number of registered cases in the country. For more information about CPEA, call 1-866-USA-CHILD, or visit our Web site at www.find-missing-children.org.
