Missing children nonprofit hires Programs Specialist
Child Protection Education of America is proud to announce that Denise Simpkins has been hired as its Programs Specialist. Simpkins brings with her a wide range of experience in dealing with government, business and public entities. She became involved in the missing children issue over two years ago when her nephew disappeared.
Simpkins responsibilities will include arranging and organizing the charity’s ID ME NOW fingerprinting events as well as forming business partnerships for fund-raising opportunities.
Child Protection Education of America (CPEA) is a national nonprofit missing children organization based in Tampa, Fla., that assists parents and law enforcement officers involved with missing children cases by offering free photograph distribution. The charity also offers safety education events, including fingerprinting using its state-of-the-art fingerprinting program.
CPEA is the second largest missing children organization in number of registered cases in the country. The organization’s three founding members have over 30 years of experience in the missing children field. The nonprofit focuses on photograph distribution as a way to help in the search for the missing because, according to Department of Justice statistics, one in six children are found because someone recognized their picture.
