FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 20, 2004
Child Protection Education of America (CPEA) has officially opened the doors to its first branch office, located in Framingham, Mass. The office will administer safety presentations and events to schools, community groups and corporations throughout the entire Northeast region.
“Having the Northeast Branch should enable us to
grow as an organization, expanding our efforts in safety education for the
public,” said Vince DiNova, CPEA’s executive director.
The new Northeast branch is located at 945 Concord St., Suite 135, Framingham, MA
01701, and is headed by
CPEA’s Northeast Director, Janice E. Rench.
Rench has more than thirty years of experience in the field of victimization by managing national and local organizations and as an advocate for crime victims. She recently served as Executive Director of the Association of Missing and Exploited Children’s Organizations (AMECO), and is a licensed social worker, mediator, and crisis trauma counselor, as well as an author and lecturer.
Child Protection Education of America is a national nonprofit missing children’s organization based in Tampa, Fla. The organization assists parents and law enforcement officers involved with missing children cases by offering free photograph distribution. CPEA also presents safety education events, including its digital fingerprinting technology program called ID ME NOW.
CPEA is the second-largest organization in the country of
its kind, in terms of the number of registered missing children cases. The
nonprofit focuses on photograph distribution to help searches for the missing
because, according to Department of Justice statistics, one in six children are
found because someone recognized their picture.
